ESCA’s President Rich Payne was a speaker at the University of New Mexico for a conference titled “The Railroader of the Mid-Century” sponsored by the Federal Railroad Administration. Other speakers were Hugh Thompson of the FRA, Dr. Charmane Caldwell of Florida A&M, Dr. Fernando Moreu of UNM, Keanu Jones from the Navajo Nation, Vanessa Knox from Borderland Family Ties, and Elsa Castillo, UNM, Director of the School of Engineering.
